The Shire of Cocos (Keeling) Islands logo was redesigned with the aim to reflect the unique element of Cocos and to connect strongly with the ocean that effects all aspects of life of the Cocos (Keeling) Islands Shire.
A coconut palm, jukong, sea turtle, the ocean, the sun and the inference of an island, combine to represent the people and flora of the Cocos (Keeling) Islands.
The free brush stroke style of the design strengthens the free and natural concept of the logo.
There is a festive and summer feel about the colours that compliments the social and tourism aspects of island life
The Shire of Cocos (Keeling) Islands logo was adopted at the Ordinary Meeting of Council on 28th March 2007.
