2024/25 Annual Report and Annual General Meeting of Electors
The Shire of Cocos (Keeling) Islands advises the community that the 2024/25 Annual Report has been completed and is available for public inspection.
The Annual Report has been prepared in accordance with section 5.53 of the Local Government Act 1995 (WA) and provides information on the Shire’s operations, governance activities, achievements, financial performance and audited financial statements for the financial year ended 30 June 2025.
In accordance with sections 5.55 and 5.55A of the Local Government Act 1995 (WA), the Shire advises that the Annual Report is available on the Shire’s website:
A copy of the Annual Report is also available for inspection at the Shire Administration Office upon request.
Annual General Meeting of Electors
In accordance with section 5.27 of the Local Government Act 1995 (WA), the Shire of Cocos (Keeling) Islands will hold the 2024/25 Annual General Meeting of Electors as follows:
Date: Wednesday, 26 August 2026
Time: 3:30 pm
Location: Home Island Council Chambers
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss:
• The contents of the 2024/25 Annual Report;
• The Shire’s audited Annual Financial Statements and audit outcomes; and
• Any other general business raised by electors in accordance with regulation 15 of theLocal Government (Administration) Regulations 1996 (WA).
The meeting is being convened in accordance with section 5.29 of the Local Government Act 1995 (WA), which requires local public notice to be given advising electors of the date, time, place and purpose of the meeting.
Electors are encouraged to submit any questions or matters for discussion before the meeting where possible to assist with an effective and productive meeting.
Members of the public are welcome to attend.
